I’m sitting here revelling in a bowl of gluten-free porridge (oatmeal) with raspberries on top and a dash of milk. My goodness, it makes my heart sing! How was I to know that my best friend in the kitchen, Thermomix, and a bowl of oatmeal could make me so happy?

Red, round and delicious. OK, a bit pimply, too. And sometimes less than perfect. Juicy, with the juice running down your chin. A sweet rush of flavour filling your mouth. Yes, I’m waxing lyrical about strawberries, our favourite late Spring fruit.
I’m still on my diet and always looking for ways to make my meals tasty and enticing whilst keeping the fat content to a minimum. Steaming foods in my Thermomix’s Varoma steamer has been a tremendous help as it requires no fat, retains colour, and keeps flavours fresh and vivid.
