Thermomix Tips and Tricks: Self-Clean the Bowl
The clever design of the Thermomix bowl and blade has many functions, including the handy self-clean, which washes the sides and lid of the bowl so that a quick rinse will ready it for further use or for putting in the dishwasher.
To self-clean your Thermomix bowl:
Add water just to cover the blade and then add one or two drops of washing up liquid.
Close and lock the lid, place the measuring cup on top, and process on Speed 7 to 10 for 10 seconds to 1 minute, depending on how dirty the bowl is and what type of mixture it contained. The higher the speed, the higher the water will rise in the bowl to clean the lid.
Voilà ! Just rinse your bowl and it’s ready to be taken apart and put in the dishwasher, or used for your next recipe.
