I have had my Thermomix for over a year now and I am constantly amazed at how many everyday things I can do in it, with better results and consistent quality. The Thermomix TM31 does not exactly fit into the cinematic genre of Spaghetti Westerns, but it does a bang-up job of cooking pasta.

Today I was cold at lunchtime and wanted something hot to eat. I’ve been having delicious thick Thermomix blended soups every day for lunch for the past few weeks (and feeling wonderfully full and satisfied until dinner time) but today I fancied something different. Clint Eastwood was not to hand, so I settled for some tricolour fusilli pasta. Chomping on a virtual cigar stub, Thermomix spatulas conveniently stored in my holsters, I set about to do some straight shooting and cooked my fusilli in my trusty Thermomix.

Cooking pasta shapes in the Thermomix really is fast and easy. And with all its built-in safety features, Thermomix is safe for the whole family to use. A responsible adult should drain off the cooking water, but the handy hook on the Thermomix spatula makes it safe to remove the internal steamer basket. And while Thermomix was cooking my lunch, I was able to multi-task and send some emails. I probably should have emptied the dishwasher, but hey… I’ll do it this evening while Thermomix cooks my dinner!

So while the cowboys are out at the OK Corral, grab some pasta, throw it in your Thermomix and make lunch!

Bon appétit !

  • Let me blow some kisses back at you, ThermomixBlogger Helene! I was amazed at how easy it was to cook pasta and drain it with no fuss, no muss. And pesto is so fast and easy to make in the Thermomix, it’ll be my next post – if there’s any left!
